Deborah Arise North America
This is an invitation for women from all walks of life, who have a heart of intercession for our young people (your sons and daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, church members, neighbors etc) to become involved with Deborah Arise North America! "Deborah Arise North America", a prayer initiative, is a call for women to cry out to God to raise up an army of young people full of ZEAL and PASSION for God, warriors with a heart for MISSION and EVANGELISM. The vision is to unite women who have a desire to intercede for this current generation of young people. As we move forward TOGETHER we will more effectively take back ground from the enemy and rescue our captive generation. We will seek God for His strategies for the battle, supporting and encouraging each other as we move on. We would like to see women praying each day and, if possible praying weekly in pairs or triplets, interceding for young people to be saved and backsliders to be restored. Deborah Arise International!
In 1995 I was in Sao Paulo when the same prophetic word was given to me on two separate occasions saying that I was being given a "Deborah" calling. A sword was put into my hand symbolizing the raising up of an army, and I was told that the work would be international. I was scared!! I did not understand then what that involved. I hid this in my heart for two years until my second trip to Brazil in June 1997. God then revealed to me in a wonderful way what this calling was all about. A man called Jame Nobre told me about a project called "Wake Up Deborah" that had started in Brazil in l997. Their goal is to see 50,000 young Brazilians involved in mission by the year 2000! Their target for the year was to enroll 25,000 mothers, but they had exceeded their target within 6 months and more than 50 women were signing up each day! They were unable to keep count! I knew that God was speaking to me about starting a similar project in the UK and I sobbed for hours. I still did not have the go-ahead to launch this project, so in June 1998 I got rather desperate with God and sought Him earnestly. A man came to minister at our church and prophesied over me that God was giving me a new work and it would involve women. A few days later at Catch the Fire Conference in Sunderland God gave me a visual aid of what was in my heart. A group of young visitors from Idaho, USA. were full of zeal and passion as they danced energetically for God. The leader explained to us that what we had seen in these young people was PRAYER FOR EUROPE! The highlight for me on my trip to Brazil in October 1998 was visiting the Intercessors Network in Goiania, when Elisabeth Albernaz prayed for me regarding this project and prophesied that there would be a new anointing waiting for me on my return to England. I knew that the time had come to step out in faith. I was sharing this in a Prayer Meeting, and Marcos Barros received the guidance that "Deborah - Arise Europe" should be linked to "Go to the Nations". Suddenly it all began to take shape; people offered themselves to intercede for the project and others to do the administration etc. In fact I feel I am on a roller coaster and it is all happening suddenly after these 4 years of waiting. Deborah is one of the great Biblical heroines; a gifted prophetess, a judge and an intrepid leader. After the Lord had given them great victory in battle, Deborah and Barak sang a song of triumph. It begins: "When leaders lead in Israel, When the people willingly offer themselves, Bless the Lord!" (Judges 5 v 2) At a time when so many nations in the western world are crying out to God for revival, these two things are much needed: Firstly, leaders with the boldness and vision to lead. Secondly, a body who are willing to offer themselves wholeheartedly into whatever they are called, that the Lord may be praised. We believe that this is the time that God wants to raise up a vast army of young people across the world - a Joshua Generation. Young people who are burning for Jesus and who have hearts to see their own and other nations radically changed. "Let those who love Him be like the sun when it comes out in full strength" (Judges 5 v 31) Like many of you, we sense the call to pray for this generation to emerge. The heart of "Deborah Arise Europe" is that many women across the UK and Europe will respond to this call to pray. We long to see this army mobilized, so that our children might be "Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.... that they may set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments" (Psalm 78 v 4 & 7) |
