A Word to the Youth.

What follows was written to a young friend, but it applies to all of today's generation. I submit this for your discernment, judgment, and encouragement.

Revival is coming to Hollywood. Revival is coming to colleges. Revival is coming to your school, your town, your house, to you. God is preparing to pour out His spirit upon all people. He is going to shake up what we like to call church until nothing is left but His Church.  Hundreds of millions, no ... billions upon billions shall come to the Lord in these days. Those who humble themselves, submitting to His discipline, selling out to Him, allowing Him to stir up fires of passion for Him that will never be put out shall be used powerfully.

In a way I envy you, for you are of the generation that shall usher in the day of the Lord. Those of us who have gone before, may advise, support, and encourage, providing the apostolic and prophetic covering, teaching, and so on, but your generation .... ahhh to be of that generation ... the generation of torchbearers, the generation of warriors, snake stompers who shall set fire to this earth. A fire of passion, that shall usher in the greatest revival this world has ever seen. A revival that will continue, bringing in the final harvest that shall end only when the Lord comes with a shout of triumph for His bride walking in victory.

Yes, I do envy you. But it's a good envy, and I shall be there ...cheering you on, and doing all I can to bring this wonderful day to pass.

Be blessed, be encouraged, and don't let anyone rob you of the wonderful destiny that awaits you and your generation.

Fallow up

Just as a follow up, since then, I feel like the Lord has been saying that this is also my call and I believe many others. That though we may be of an older generation, (I am 47 year old boomer), we can be a part of that band of radical warriors. He reminded me of my prayers some years ago asking for a Joshua spirit. Joshua and Caleb were not of the generation that crossed over the Jordan, but because of their faith, really because their relationship with the Lord allowed them to see with faith, they alone crossed over to lead the next generation into the promise. What I believe He is showing me is that there is an open door to many members of previous generations to be a part of those last day warriors. What He specifically seemed to be saying was that like Joshua, He has caused some seem to be born too soon, but that they were born in His perfect time. They were born early to become front runners who would spy out the land, and return to lead others in. He has put that cry into my heart, for this is my destiny ... I think perhaps it can be anyone's destiny ... IF they choose to accept it, and IF they are willing to pay the price. A price of tears, pain, heartache ... a price that will be paid with our lives. It will not be easy, but dying (I speak of self) is never easy. For myself, I do choose to pay that price ... not without some fear and trepidation, but by His grace, I shall do so.
